Vee is a macOS clipboard manager built with your privacy as a first principle. This policy explains what data Vee handles and how.

What Vee collects

Vee stores your clipboard history locally on your Mac, in the app's Application Support directory. Your clipboard content never leaves your device. The only requests the app makes are the update check and — if you buy Vee Pro — the license check described below.

Clipboard data

Vee reads your clipboard solely to build a local history accessible only to you. This data:

Update checks

Vee periodically checks copyvee.com/version.json to let you know when a new version is available. This request contains no personal information — it is a plain HTTP GET with no user identifiers.

License checks

If you activate a Vee Pro license key, the app sends the key and your Mac's name (so you can recognise the device in your license list) to copyvee.com/api/license, which forwards them to our licensing provider, Creem. This happens when you activate a key and roughly once a day afterwards to confirm the subscription is still active. No clipboard content is ever included. Deactivating the license in Settings removes the device registration.

Analytics

Vee contains no analytics SDK, no crash reporting service, and no telemetry of any kind. We never know how you use the app.

The copyvee.com website counts anonymous clicks on its own buttons and links (for example "Download" or "Get Yearly") to see which pages work. It sets no cookies and uses no third-party analytics service: each event records only the button that was clicked and the page it was on.

Purchases

Payments are processed by Creem, the merchant of record for Vee Pro. We do not handle or store payment card information. Please refer to Creem's privacy policy for details on how payment data is handled.
