A clipboard popup opens dozens of times a day, which makes it one of the most-seen pieces of UI on your Mac after the menu bar itself. Vee treats the way it looks as worth getting right, not just the mechanics underneath.

Themes (Vee Pro)

Vee Pro unlocks the full set of visual themes for the popup — accent colors and light/dark variants that match how the rest of your setup looks, rather than a single fixed style. Switch anytime in Settings → Appearance; the change applies to the popup immediately, no restart needed.

Shortcut modes: the one setting worth knowing

Vee ships with two ways to trigger the popup, and picking the right one changes how it feels day to day:

• Open with ⌘⇧V (default). Plain ⌘V keeps standard macOS paste completely untouched; the popup only appears when you deliberately press ⌘⇧V. Best if you want zero risk of the popup showing up when you didn't mean to trigger it.
• Replace ⌘V. Every paste opens the popup — plain ⌘V included — the same pattern Raycast uses over Spotlight. return pastes the most recent item, so a plain paste is still just as fast, but every other item is one keystroke further. Best for people who paste from history constantly and want the shortest possible path.

How many items the popup shows

The popup surfaces your most recent items with ⌘1–⌘9 quick-paste — nine slots is deliberately the ceiling, since beyond that the keyboard shortcut stops being faster than scrolling and searching (a Pro feature) takes over for anything older.

Favorites as a permanent, curated set

Anything marked as a favorite stays visible regardless of how much you've copied since — effectively a personal, always-available shortlist layered on top of the rotating recent history. Combined with themes, this is where Vee stops being "a clipboard utility" and starts feeling like a small piece of personal software — the exact items you reach for daily, styled the way you want them.
